Responding to Someone in Crisis
- Do not leave a person alone if there is immediate danger.
- Call or text 988 for crisis support.
- Call 911 for immediate physical danger or a life-threatening emergency.
Crisis Symptoms May Include
- Hearing voices
- Experiencing hallucinations
- Displaying irrational behavior
- Expressing intent to harm oneself or others
- Intravenous (IV) drug use
- Withdrawal from illegal substance use
- Using drugs while pregnant
- Becoming unmanageable due to mental illness
