To Weep and to Rejoice

by Daniel L. Sonnenberg

On Thanksgiving Day 2018, my wife, Beth, and I drove to Ohio to see my dad before he died a few days later. This year, on the first anniversary of his death, I’m getting in touch with the grief of his loss in an even deeper way. And though it’s hard, it’s also good…to remember the many times we enjoyed together with him…to weep and to rejoice.

(In memory of Otis Henry Sonnenberg, 10/21/1924 – 11/27/2018.)
